Anyone who knows me knows that I tend to say fine a lot so much so that the meaning has become lost. Morocco was a “fine” place, much like you could consider Saudi Arabia a “fine” place.
Anyway I’ve decided that Dallas is also a fine place….in the genuine sense of the word fine. I’ve only been here a few days so haven’t done all that much in terms of sight seeing etc. The days have mostly involved filling in paper work so I remain legal in the US and figuring out what the assignment here involves.
One thing I can verify is the statement that everything is bigger in Texas, from cars to humans. A place worth mentioning is Twin Peaks, before I left my manager said to me “give it a few days and you’ll end up in Twin Peaks, I’ll let you figure out what that means for yourself”. Heading there tonight with some people from work to watch some UFC (this sounds very American and I feel dirty typing it).
Other than that I’ve got my drugs test done and I’m going to look into learning how to drive soon i.e. within the next few days. It’s the 4th of July weekend here so not much will be happening until Tuesday.
